Donations to Our Endowment Funds

The KDCF seeks donations from local corporations and individuals and is approaching former residents of the Kimberley area that still feel a connection to this community. Gifts, pledges, legacies and bequests, memorial tributes for loved ones and donations from the proceeds of life insurance will all help to build the Foundation’s pool of capital.

You can make a donation to one of the existing Funds (any size gift is gratefully accepted) or contact us about starting your own Donor-Advised Fund with a donation of $10,000 or more. You can see a description of our funds on the Funds Page.

Donations to the Kimberley Refugee Resettlement Group

The KDCF is providing its online donation option via Canada Helps to assist with fundraising for the KRRG. Donations designated for the KRRG are not placed in an endowment, but rather go directly to the KRRG.

Become Friend of the Foundation

To avoid using revenue from the endowment funds for operational expenses the Board of the KDCF has introduced the concept:”Friends of the Foundation.”
A “Friend” is someone who agrees to donate $100 per year to the Foundation with the understanding that the donation will be used to defray the operating costs of the organization rather than build the endowments. Friends donations allow the KDCF to pay for insurance, financial audits, website fees and other administrative expenses and reduce the need dip into the revenue from endowment funds for these purposes. The donations are tax deductible and Friends are invited to the biannual ceremonies where Foundation grants are distributed and receive a copy of the Foundation’s Annual Report.
If you would like to become a “Friend of the Foundation” you can contact one of our Directors, send us an email, or mail your cheque for $100 to the address on our contact page. A charitable receipt for $100 will be mailed to you.
