Here are the highlights:

Kimberley Minor soccer. As the Purcell Park is nearing completion, there is a need for proper equipment for this new facility. This grant will help purchase new goals for youth soccer and adult soccer clubs.

Donors Help Nordic Club and KDCF

The results are in for our recent campaign with the Kimberley Nordic Club and the City of Kimberley.

The Kimberley Nordic Club thanks those members that generously donated to the “Building Fund”. Nineteen generous members donated a total of $4,280 of which $428 went to the Kimberley & District Community Foundation’s Community Endowment Fund and $3,852 went to the Nordic Club Building Fund. The money will be a big help this year as the Club has many unexpected expenses.

The Kimberley & District Community Foundation accepted designated donations up to December 15, 2010 for this special project.  Ten percent of the donation went to the KDCF Community fund, an endowment that will benefit the community over many years.  Ninety percent was presented to the City of Kimberley on behalf of the Kimberley Nordic Club.  The City of Kimberley and the Nordic Club have cooperated in the building of a new warming hut.
