Winter Games Legacy Grants Awarded

On April 9th, the KDCF awarded $4540 in grants from the Winter Games Legacy Fund to 4 amateur sporting groups in Kimberley. The legacy fund was established with the surplus from the 1980 and 2008 BC Winter Games which were hosted in Kimberley and Cranbrook. The Seahorse Swim Club was awarded $500 to purchase new equipment.

The Kimberley Junior Nordic Racers received $1300 to help with the purchase of a generator.

The Kimberley Curling Club received $2000 to assist with the purchase of a new ice scraper.

The East Kootenay Climbing Association received $740 for the purchase of a Hilti hammer drill.
