Note:
In 2010 a special Fund was established for the Nordic Building Fund. A $3,852 grant was awarded based on designated donations.
In addition to the funds listed above, we hold locally an additional $22,163 for our general and various fund accounts.
The KSCU Fund was established in January 2010 with a capital amount of $125,400 endowment, plus $6,600 to be awarded in grants in Fall 2010.
The Funds are professionally managed at very low cost by Vancouver Foundation (the first three Funds above) and Kootenay Savings Credit Union (the KSCU Fund).
The costs of operating the KDCF are largely offset by contributions by the Friends of Kimberley & District Community Foundation. In 2010 the Friends contributed $2,275, and our total operational expenses were $3,420 in 2010.
